Description
This dataset contains specimen data of terrestrial and limnic invertebrates from Gothenburg natural history museum. The collections contain several million specimens and new material are digitized continuously. It includes mostly Swedish specimens but also material collected in other parts of the world. A large part of the Swedish material comes from the museum's ”Terrestrial invertebrate faunistic research program”, which was carried out from the 1920s until 1981. The main bulk of the material consists of ethanol preserved specimens.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 9,263 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
