GBIF Sweden is the Swedish participant node in the Global Biodiversity Information Facility, GBIF. Our main task is to make primary data on biological diversity from Swedish collections and observation databases freely available and to coordinate and support GBIF-related activities and data use in Sweden.

Swedish Metabarcoding Network launched to mobilize eDNA data

A new national initiative, the Swedish Metabarcoding Network (SMN), has been launched to bring together researchers and data producers working with eDNA and metabarcoding across Sweden. The network aims to improve the accessibility and reuse of metabarcoding data by supporting publication of processed biodiversity data in FAIR formats.
